  • Click on the blocked camera icon in the address bar.
  • A message will appear saying that access to the camera is restricted.
  • Choose “Always allow access to the camera.”
  • Click Done and refresh the page.

If your video feed appears, your camera is functioning correctly! 🎥

2. Enable Camera Permissions in Browser Settings

If the camera isn’t working, check your browser settings:

For Chrome:

  • Open Chrome Settings
  • Search for Camera
  • Navigate to Site Settings > Camera
  • Select the correct camera from the list

For Firefox:

  • Open Settings > Privacy & Security
  • Scroll to Permissions
  • Click Camera > Settings
  • Allow access for this site

Once updated, refresh the page and test your camera again.

3. Check System Camera Permissions (macOS & Windows)

Sometimes, system-level settings may block camera access.

On macOS:

  • Open System Preferences
  • Go to Security & Privacy
  • Click Camera and allow access for your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.)

On Windows:

  • Open Settings > Privacy > Camera
  • Ensure “Allow apps to access your camera” is enabled

Try restarting the browser and testing again.

4. Testing an External Webcam

Using an external webcam? Make sure it’s set up properly.

✅ Is the camera plugged into the correct port?
✅ Are the cables securely connected?
✅ Have you selected the right camera in settings?

Update Camera Drivers (if needed):

On macOS:

  • Click Apple Menu > About This Mac > Software Update

On Windows:

  • Open Device Manager
  • Expand Imaging Devices
  • Right-click your Webcam > Update Driver

If the issue persists, try connecting the camera to another device.

5. Work Device or Corporate Restrictions
  • If you’re using a work laptop, your IT department may have restricted camera access.
  • Contact your IT support team to allow camera access on your browser.
6. Browser Extensions & Third-Party Apps

If your camera works on some apps but not others, a browser extension might be interfering.

  • Open Chrome Extensions
  • Disable or remove any webcam-related extensions
  • Restart your browser and test again
Final Check

Look into the camera—if you see your video, your camera is working properly!

If you still face issues, try restarting your device or switching to a different browser. 🚀
